Rain rain beautiful rain

It has been raining very hard for 24 hours here. Glad to be on the 2nd floor.

Nice little pad

2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms seperate khasi, seems stupid to be on my own. Less than
£60 a night. Envy is one of the worst deadly sins.

Noosa should have come here Soona

Well, what more can I say. I am a reasonably well travelled person but I have never been to anywhere so beautiful.

I rest my case your honour.

Storm

There were 2 notable things about last night. The most ferocious storm I have ever seen and I saw the Thai Elvis. Both were awesome in slightly different ways. There doesn't appear to be any drainage here so the streets were literally knee deep in water. Unfortunately I left my camera at the hotel but there is more forecast so I will post a video if I can work out how to use this camera. I have recorded a couple of videos accidentally so I know it can do it.

Bangkok lunch

Had a lunch today at this place

Tom ka goong. There were 6 of these lovelies in it

Spicy beef salad

The whole thing with a litre of beer cost me about £8. I can cope with this.

More Bangkok

Stop sniggering.

Group sex anyone?

Bangkok pharmaceuticals

I went to a pharmacy to get some anti-mosquito spray and was stunned. I left my blood pressure tablets at home but they actually sold exactly the same ones in the shop. Cheaper than a prescription charge as well. I will have to be more careful with the spray though. 7 bites and counting, makes me fel a bit rough. Early start this morning despite having tied one on last night. I was in a cafe at 8.30, in fact I am still there. I have to go out to access the net. They charge 19 baht (about 40p) a minute there. Coffee and an excellent breakfast. This is the scene opposite, a typical Bangkok street scene. You can see the pollution here, a sort of haze.

Bangkok - Hot

Even the locals are complaining about the heat, it's the humidity more than anything else. Looking forward to the storms tomorrow. Went to see a band last night, they were ok but the vocalist was brilliant if one of the most bizarre looking people I have ever seen (present company excepted of course)

This young lady gave me an extremely professional shoulder massage in exchange for a 2 quid drink. She soon lost interest when I declined any other 'services'

Ended up playing pool with the barmen at the hotel. It was fun despite the fact that we couldn't communicate.

Singapore Sunday

Singapore is a truly multi-cultural society. Within 5 minutes walk I took these photos

Clarke Quay

Another expensive but rather lovely place is Clarke Quay. It's bizarre that within a couple of hundred yards prices treble. Went for a really good chinese meal which is normally one of my least favourite types of cuisine. Look at these beauties.

The place itself.

This guy was making the most amazing music with this 3 stringed instrument.

More Singapore

I am going to cut down on the narrative and mainly post photos so that I don't bore you to tears. Overall, Singapore was a great experience and I will endeavour to get back there one day.

Yummy.

I watched one of these being made and it looked ok except for some unrecognisable pink things they put in it. I gave it a swerve.

Took a trip to a little paradise island just off Singapore. Sentosa. If you ever go there take your own food and drink, it is incredibly expensive.

The prisoner?

I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts

Unfortunately they aren't fully developed.
